Biography
Virginia Marcs was born in St. Petersburg, FL. Like many performers, she's dreamed of performing music since she was a child — for her, music has always been a personal expression of deep passion.
She spent many of her formative years at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival, learning theatre in the round, absorbing dialects, and learning the value of versatility in performance. She joined the festival as a performer while attending high school at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA), where she majored in Vocal Music.
She went on to major in Voice Performance, studying opera and other performance media, at Stetson University. She continued to act. She discovered a love of Don Giovanni, Salome, and La Rondine, but also of Regina Spektor, Radiohead, Carly Simon, and Keane. After completing her education in music, she followed the call of hope, left behind everything she'd ever known, and moved north to New York City. There, she remakes herself, day by day, in the image of her dreams.
